The Greenfield Lodge:

Greenfield Lodge has two highly individualized and beautiful sober living facilities. One for men, one for women, and they are just minutes apart. They are both located in the Pacific Palisades in southern California. We offer an exclusive, structured and intimate community for the recovering individual. With respect, dedication and love we help people rebuild their lives one day at a time.

Family Involvement

At Greenfield Lodge, we believe in a systematic approach. The client’s support system is encouraged to get involved to learn and grow along with their loved one. The involvement of key players in the client’s life is crucial to a smooth transition home. We welcome phone calls and visits. Family meetings are held as often as determined necessary.

Our Perspective

People generally wish for the same reality, a happy one. One where they love more than hate, and feel good more often than bad. The substance abuser has lost their way. Their internal compass is temporarily off balance, and their sense of reality is distorted. From this distorted perspective of themselves and the world they live in, they take self destructive action, perpetuating a cycle of deterioration and loss.

When an individual’s pain is greater than their sense of hope, they turn to an absolute solution. Drugs and alcohol are among the many solutions people turn to to cope with pain. The truth is, they work well in the short term and contribute nothing in the way of a lasting solution. In most cases, the use of a mind altering substance as a primary means of coping leads to more chaos and pain.

A “bottom” can be percieved at any point and is highly subjective. When the addict reaches a point of desperation and relative clarity, they may be ready for some type of intervention: rehab, out- patient, sober living, therapy, etc. and the initial goal is for the individual to stay clean. The next step is to help the client to begin to see themselves as they are, which is painful. Given the the historical pattern of dealing with pain, alternative coping strategies must be developed in order to tolerate self exploration and sobriety.

We Are Available 24 Hours A Day

Greenfield's staff is available to the client 24 hours a day because they know that one’s outlook and life can change dramatically for the worse within one minute of making a bad decision. The staff at Greenfield are dedicated, sober and some are former clients. They have a keen awareness and will act with urgency, should something arise, to rectify an impending issue. If they sense something may be off balance the staff takes a pro-active approach to your success one hundred percent of the time. Our staff is acutely aware of the challenges that face the client every day and are ready to respond appropriately and with sincerity.

Co-Ed Support Meetings/Social Interaction

Although the homes house men and women separately, we understand the importance of positive social interaction and strong mutual support. Both our home’s clients get to know one another, get together for exercise/classes, participate in support meetings at our facilities, and also attend additional outside meetings. We also encourage client participation in meetings if an issue needs to be addressed or voted on. This is now your home; and we need to ensure your comfort, your safety and your happiness when residing at Greenfield.

Transportation

Transportation to and from necessary locations will be provided for our clients who do not have their own form of transportation.

Structure Model

Greenfield's structure models real world challenges with non-punitive access with which to live your life. However, negative behavior will mandate the loss of a privilege. With consistent positive behavior, incremental responsibility is entrusted to the client. At Greenfield, we know the importance of monitoring our client's social circles and if the need arises, we will drug test visitors and close every space to ensure the safety and success of our clients.
